DemirBank Receives EBRD Award for First Cross-Border Transaction under the Risk Sharing Facility

On October 8, 2026, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held its SME Regional Conference in Uzbekistan, dedicated to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. During the event, DemirBank was presented with the “First Cross-border RSF Transaction” award.

The award recognised DemirBank's first project in Tashkent, Uzbekistan — the financing of Ozone Fitness Center under the EBRD's Risk Sharing Facility (RSF).

The award was presented by Matteo Colangeli, EBRD Managing Director for SME Finance and Development. The successful implementation of this project marked an important milestone in strengthening DemirBank's international cooperation and expanding opportunities to finance businesses beyond the Kyrgyz Republic..

The Risk Sharing Facility (RSF) enables credit risks to be shared between the EBRD and its partner banks, helping to improve businesses' access to finance and facilitate the implementation of investment projects.

This recognition highlights the effectiveness of DemirBank's cooperation with international financial institutions and its contribution to entrepreneurship development and stronger economic ties across Central Asia.

DemirBank remains committed to strengthening its partnership with the EBRD, introducing modern financial instruments, and supporting projects that promote sustainable business development across the region.
