International payment company Mastercard recognized DemirBank as the most active issuing bank in Kyrgyzstan for 2024.
As noted by DemirBank General Manager Shevki L. Sarylar, the Bank has maintained its leadership in issuing Mastercard cards in Kyrgyzstan for many years. This award once again confirms DemirBank’s high status and successful performance both in Kyrgyzstan and internationally.
“For over 14 years, Mastercard and DemirBank have actively strengthened their partnership, launching new projects to make financial services even more accessible and convenient for Kyrgyz citizens. It is a great honor for us to be recognized by our international partner as the best issuing bank in Kyrgyzstan. We will continue to strengthen our cooperation and introduce innovative financial services,” emphasized Shevki Sarylar.
In 2024, DemirBank and Mastercard implemented several large-scale projects of significant importance to Kyrgyz citizens. For example, ahead of the New Year, the Bank served as an official partner in organizing the entertainment fair “Northern Lights” at Ala-Too Square near the country's main Christmas tree. Thousands of Bishkek residents and visitors attended the fair and experienced the festive spirit with unforgettable emotions. An open-air ice rink, workshops, food court, fairy-tale decorations, Santa’s cottages, and more were available to visitors. Special offers with discounts and benefits were provided to Mastercard cardholders.
Another major project was a promotion in honor of Black Friday. For an entire month, Kyrgyz citizens could make purchases in 0% installments using DemirBank’s Mastercard credit cards. The offer was valid throughout December across more than 500 Bank partners, including major clothing, home appliance, and furniture stores.
It is worth noting that DemirBank was one of the first commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan to become a Principal Member of the international Mastercard payment system. The Bank joined the system back in 2011 and has since actively contributed to the development of the country’s financial sector. Going forward, DemirBank will continue to develop partnerships and implement innovative projects for the convenience of its customers.
